iAMP® TORCH Panel

The iAMP® TORCH Panel is an extraction-free real-time fluorescent isothermal PCR assay based on Atila’s proprietary isothermal amplification technology intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleic acids from multiple bacteria, parasites, and viruses directly from blood samples obtained from pregnant women with or suspected of any of these infections.

The following organism types and subtypes are identified by iAMP® TORCH Panel are: Toxoplasma gondii, Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum (Syphilis), Rubella (German measles), Cytomegalovirus, Herpes Simplex Virus I and Herpes Simplex Virus II.

The iAMP ® TORCH Panel is intended for use by trained laboratory personnel specifically instructed and trained in the techniques of real-time nucleic acid amplification.

This product is for RUO.

Each kit includes 96 tests.

Category: SKU: iAMP-TORCH-96

iAMP® TORCH Panel

Infections are a major threat to human reproductive health, and infections in pregnancy can cause prematurity or stillbirth, or can be vertically transmitted to the fetus leading to congenital infection and severe disease. The acronym ‘TORCH’ (Toxoplasma gondii, Other, Rubella virus, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes simplex virus) refers to pathogens directly associated with the development of congenital diseases. In this context, comprehensive testing and early detection of these infections would greatly assist in implementing timely interventions to reduce the chance of transmission of these infections to the unborn child and will ensure better maternal and fetal health outcomes.

Features Include

Fast Speed

From sample to detection in less than 90 minutes.

Simple Protocol

Simple, extraction-free workflow that saves time and money. The reagents are pre-loaded in the reaction tubes and sealed with gel. The only hands-on work is loading the samples.

Low Cost

Price per assay is more affordable than any other assay on the market for detection of bacteria, parasites, and viruses found in the iAMP® TORCH Panel.

Flexibility

Our kits can be used for detection of any number of samples without wasting extra reagents.

Technical Specs

Reaction Time

Assay requires 1 hour of instrument time.

Sample Types

Blood samples.

Instruments

Compatible with iAMP Personal Station Real-Time PCR System, Atila PowerGene 9600 Plus Real-Time System, Bio-Rad CFX96, and other commonly used RT-qPCR instruments with FAM/HEX/ROX/CY5 fluorescence channels.

Workflow Overview blood samples.

This section is for demonstrative purposes only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always refer to the product instructions for precise guidelines and directions.

Isolate the plasma from whole blood sample (or use previously isolated plasma sample)
Step 2a: Mix 20 µL of plasma sample with 40 µL of SB diluent

Step 2b: Mix 20 µL of plasma sample with 40 µL of ES diluent
Vortex & incubate at room temperature for 10 minutes for both samples in SB and ES diluent
Add 10µL sample into Zebra BioDome tubes.
Run on standard PCR instrument.
Obtain result report in less than 60 minutes.
