Streptococcus pyogenes PCR Detection Kit
The Streptococcus pyogenes PCR Detection Kit provides a PCR master mix which contains reagents and enzymes for PCR amplification and a primer mix which are specific to the S. pyogenes genome. In addition, the kit provides an internal control to identify possible PCR inhibition or sample preparation failure.
Streptococcus pyogenes, often referred to as Group A Streptococcus, is a chained cocci that is responsible for causing ailments that vary from mild, such as strep throat and skin infections like impetigo, to more serious and invasive conditions like necrotizing fasciitis (commonly known as flesh-eating disease) and streptococcal toxic shock syndrome.
With the help of an array of virulence factors, including enzymes and toxins, S. pyogenes can swiftly undermine host defenses and spread. Its ability to adhere to and colonize various tissues contributes to its pathogenicity. Additionally, some strains of S. pyogenes have exhibited resistance to antibiotics.

Workflow Overview for the Streptococcus pyogenes PCR Detection Kit
This section is for demonstrative purposes only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always refer to the product instructions for precise guidelines and directions.

Prepare the PCR reaction mix by combining 12.5μL x (N+2) of PCR master mix with 5μL x (N+2) of primer mix.

Finalize by adding H2O 5.5μL x (N+2) to complete the reaction mix.

Add 23μL of reaction mix per well along with 2μL of extracted DNA and internal control.

Perform PCR.
