iAMP Ureaplasma Detection Kit
The iAMP Ureaplasma Detection Kit is intended for use to qualitatively detect and differentiate UU and UP DNA present in vaginal or cervical swabs from symptomatic or asymptomatic females. It features a fast turnaround time, a simple procedure and an economic price.
Ureaplasmas are associated with a number of human diseases, such as nonspecific urethritis, infertility, stillbirth, premature birth, and, in the perinatal period, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia and meningitis.
Since 2002, the strain previously known as Ureaplamsa urealyticum has been segmented to Ureaplasma parvum (UP) and Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU), which were further segmented to 14 serovars. These two species can be isolated individually or simultaneously from clinical specimens.
