iAMP GBS Detection Kit

The iAMP GBS Detection Kit is intended for use to qualitatively detect the presence of GBS DNA from 18-24 hour Lim broth enrichments of vaginal/rectal swab samples. Based on our isothermal technology, this assay kit features simple procedures and economic price, with superior sensitivity and specificity.

In the United States, Group B Streptococcus (GBS) bacteria is a leading cause of meningitis and bacteremia in a newborn’s first week of life. Maternal intrapartum GBS colonization is the primary risk factor for early-onset disease in infants.

About 1 in every 4 pregnant women carry group B strep bacteria in the rectum or vagina. Therefore, CDC recommend doctors to test pregnant woman for group B strep bacteria when they are 35 to 37 weeks pregnant. If diagnosed as GBS positive, pregnant women can be given antibiotics during labor to prevent early-onset GBS disease in newborns.

Features Include

Fast Speed

From sample to detection in less than 90 minutes with no more than 15 mins hands on time and can be observed using 4 fluorescence channels simultaneously.

Easy To Use

No array, no washing, no DNA extraction are needed that saves time and money.

Flexibility

Our kits can be used for detection of any number of samples without wasting extra reagents.

Low Cost

Price per assay is much better than any other kits on the market.
