iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel
The iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel is an extraction-free, real-time fluorescent iso qPCR assay based on Atila’s proprietary amplification technology intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleic acids from multiple bacteria, parasites, and viruses (summarized in Table 1). To be used directly on stool samples obtained from individuals with or suspected of gastrointestinal infection.
Positive results do not rule out co-infection with organisms not included in the iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel. Negative results do not preclude infection with bacterial, viral or other parasitic pathogens that are not listed in the iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel. The iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel is intended for use by trained laboratory personnel specifically instructed and trained in the techniques of real-time nucleic acid amplification.
Each kit includes 100 tests.
This product is for research use only (RUO).
iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel
Gastrointestinal (GI) infections are among the most common illnesses worldwide, affecting millions of people every year and placing a significant burden on healthcare systems. These infections are often transmitted through contaminated food, water, or close contact. Many GI pathogens produce symptoms, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, and fever, like other conditions making diagnosis complicated. Delays in diagnosis may lead to worsening symptoms and potentially escalating to life-threatening conditions or long-term issues.
The iAMP® Gastrointestinal Panel is a rapid, real-time fluorescent iso qPCR panel that simultaneously detects 8 bacterial pathogens, 5 viral pathogens, 4 parasitic pathogens, and 6 diarrheagenic E.Coli/Shigella pathogens directly from stool samples without nucleic acid extraction. This panel aids in the diagnosis of pathogen(s) causing gastrointestinal illness, in conjunction with other clinical, laboratory, and epidemiological information.
