iAMP® Bacterial Vaginosis Detection Kit

Atila’s BV detection kit qualitatively detects DNA targets from bacteria associated with bacterial vaginosis in vaginal/cervical swab samples, including Gardnerella vaginalis (GV), Atopobium vaginae (AV), Bacterial Vaginosis Associated Bacteria-2 (BVAB-2), Megasphaera-1 and Megasphaera-2 (Mega1 and Mega2).

Compared to traditional gram staining method, our assay shows ≥ 90% sensitivity and specificity, with a significantly faster turnaround time of less than 90 minutes.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a polymicrobial clinical syndrome resulting from replacement of the normal hydrogen peroxide producing Lactobacillus sp. in the vagina with high concentrations of anaerobic bacteria and numerous fastidious or uncultivated anaerobes.

In the United States, an estimated 21.2 million (29.2%) women aged 14–49 are affected by BV, making it the most common cause of vaginal symptoms. Due to its similar symptoms with other vaginal infections but different treatments, it is critical to have accurate diagnostics.

Features Include

Fast Speed

From sample to detection in less than 90 minutes with no more than 15 mins hands on time and can be observed using 4 fluorescence channels simultaneously.

Easy To Use

No array, no washing, no DNA extraction are needed that saves time and money.

Flexibility

Our kits can be used for detection of any number of samples without wasting extra reagents.

Low Cost

Price per assay is much better than any other kits on the market.
