iAMP® Bacterial Meningitis Panel

The iAMP® Bacterial Meningitis (BMS) Panel is an extraction-free real-time fluorescent isothermal PCR assay based on Atila’s proprietary isothermal amplification technology intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleic acids from common pathogens and drug resistance gene markers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) specimens.

They include pathogens such as H. influenzae, L. monocytogenes, N. meningitidis, S. agalactiae, S. pneumoniae, E. coli, C. neoformans and drug resistance (DR) gene markers such as carbapenemase genes (NDM, KPC, OXA-48, VIM, IMP), extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) gene (CTX-M1), vancomycin resistance genes (VanA, VanB), oxacillin/methicillin resistance gene (MecA), sulfanamide resistant genes (SUL1, SUL2, SUL3), trimethoprim resistant genes (dfrA1, dfrA5, dfrA12, dfrA17), plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance marker (QnrS), and Marcolide resistant genes (MefA, MrsA, ermA, ermB, ermC, ereA, mphA).

Each kit includes 96 tests.

This product is for research use only (RUO).

iAMP® Bacterial Meningitis Panel

Bacterial meningitis is a serious, life-threatening infection of the protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. It often begins suddenly and can progress rapidly, causing symptoms such as severe headache, fever, stiff neck, nausea, confusion, and sensitivity to light. If left untreated, bacterial meningitis can lead to brain damage, hearing loss, long-term neurological complications, or death within hours to days. Because different bacteria can cause the disease and many strains are resistant to common antibiotics, quick and accurate identification of the pathogen is essential for starting the right treatment.

The iAMP® Bacterial Meningitis Panel provides a simple, extraction-free workflow and delivers accurate results in under 90 minutes. Using Atila’s proprietary real-time isothermal PCR technology, it directly detects BMS pathogens from cerebrospinal fluid. This enables clinicians to identify the exact cause of infection and tailor therapy faster than traditional methods, improving survival rates, reducing complications, and helping prevent the spread of resistant pathogens.

Features Include

Fast Speed

From sample to detection is less than 90 minutes.

Simple Protocol

Simple, extraction-free workflow that saves time and money. The reagents are pre-loaded in the reaction tubes and sealed with gel. The only hands-on work is loading the samples.

Low Cost

Price per assay is more affordable than any other assay on the market for detection of Bacterial Meningitis.

Flexibility

Our kits can be used for detection of any number of samples without wasting extra reagents.
